Time Echo

Many games use a day and night mechanic to alter gameplay, some games use time altering abilities to a small advantage as well. The main difference in my idea, is the dynamic and usability of this concept, and the visual appeal of a rapid ripple effect change that happens right before your eyes.

Prototype Examples

This consists of an environment that is able to change through different points in time on player command. The visual animation would be like a wave/pulse coming out of the character like dropping a rock in a lake. This would cycle the game through morning, day, evening, and night. Particle systems would exit the character in a wave type motion while triggering environment lighting and particle change to alter time of day and environment feel. This would solve the issue of puzzle solving within a game. It is an easy way to change visual appeal and sight ability within a game as well.
